Delray Beach Fashion Week

Food. Fashion. Fun. February 23-27, 2022

Visitors and residents can explore the best that Delray has to offer for five full days. For a decade the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) together with merchants, artists, designers, restaurants, and businesses throw a party. Everyone is invited to fashion shows, including a runway show, luncheons, shop & sip, and in-store events throughout Delray’s downtown.

Be the first of your friends and neighbors to be savvy about 2022 spring and summer styles and walk straight from the runway to buy the latest designs at retail shops all over town.

And in addition, your participation goes for a good cause. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Achievement Centers for Children and Families which provides toddler to middle school education to underserviced communities since 1969.

The purpose of the DDA is energize the economic vitality of Downtown Delray Beach and enhance the quality of life enjoyed by locals and visitors. Laura Simon, Executive Director of the DDA, credits the popularity of these events to “their fun engagement with the local merchants and customers who love our village by the sea. It is creating a very authentic Delray experience” meaning a sunny sand and sea fashion for both women and men with attendees from all over South Florida

Downtown Delray Beach is founded on local creatives and merchants. The talent that we have in our very own backyard is immense, liberally sprinkled with locally-owned boutiques. The DDA and its members offer Fashion Week to locals and visitors a unique and fun celebration of the Delray vibe all centered and fashion and beauty. For an all-City event like Fashion Week, Sponsors are critical to the upfront funding and Delray is fortunate to have hotels, restaurants, commercial offices, and not for profits fill that role.

And the Retailers and Restaurants play a major role in selling fashionable items, serving delicious meals and stimulating beverages on streets and rooftops. Restaurants that have been in Delray for years and newly opened venues, large and small compete for the hungry and thirsty Fashion Week celebrants. Of course a great part of the fun (and the ogling) are the Hair Salons and Make-up Studios that work their magic on models and participants alike.

EVENTS

Wednesday, Feb. 23:  “Living in Paradise” Fashion Show Experience

The Living in Paradise opening night runway show will feature over 30 retailers strutting their stuff and showing the new outfits that their stores have to offer.  Over 70 models with hair and makeup done by local salons spin and stride to the beat of live music, pop up retail and food tents, and a cash bar offering wine, beer, and champagne.

Thursday, Feb. 24: Fashion Show and Luncheon

Fashionistas will celebrate the “Colors of the Tropics” with a runway fashion show featuring more than 40 resort looks from over 20 downtown Delray Beach shops and local designers.   The luncheon includes an opening reception, three-course lunch, runway show, silent auction, and entertainment at a newly reopened restaurant overlooking the Intracoastal Canal. Each guest will also receive a welcome cocktail, swag bag and entry into a raffle package.

Friday, Feb. 25, 2022:  Sunsational Shop and Sip Event

Enjoy the Sunsational Shop & Sip event happening throughout downtown Delray Beach. Start with a light brunch on a hotel rooftop, then stroll Delray’s downtown streets. Use your Attendee Passport to enter a raffle for a Downtown package and attend a post-event reception.

Saturday, Feb. 26:  Sand & Sea Fashion Event

Seat yourself by the runway event showcasing fetching swimwear from our downtown Delray Beach retailers and designers. Ticketed seats and complimentary cocktail and hors d'oeuvres on the rooftop will be offered at the conclusion of the event for those who need to recover from the swimsuit viewing.

Sat. & Sun., Feb. 26-27: Downtown Delray Beach Craft Show

Stroll through a juried art show and Experience over 100 artists and vendors.

Sunday, February 27, 2022:  Fashion Trunk Shows & Instore Events

Keep the good times rolling with Fashion Week trunk shows, in-store events, and shopping throughout downtown Delray Beach.
