The Delray Concours D’Elegance, held on Sunday, April 27th, was the most impressive in the event’s four-year history. This year’s showcase featured 150 extraordinary automobiles from 15 states and 3 continents. With an average car value of $1 million—and one standout vehicle valued at an astonishing $30 million—the show attracted both car enthusiasts and collectors as well as families and children.
Among the highlights was the oldest car in the world, built in 1899, which was not only displayed but also driven from City Hall to Old School Square.
The International event drew approximately 25,000 visitors who enjoyed the remarkable collection and lively atmosphere. Produced by the Delray Concours Foundation, the event also had a strong charitable focus. Founder and Chairman Max Zengage announced that $125,000 was raised to support Delray Beach charities.
Local businesses also saw a boost, as Zengage intentionally excludes food carts from the event to encourage attendees to dine at nearby restaurants.
If you missed this year’s Concours, be sure to mark your calendar for next year’s unforgettable celebration of automotive excellence.
